Society was involved with fascination by the U.F.O. phenomena since 1947 when Kenneth Arnold saw first Flying Saucers in USA. The industry of toys designed action figures that converted that icon into a subject that can be touched and enjoyed. (This is not a sales/trade site. Only a Virtual Museum. G.I.Joe Aliens.
Hasbro added to its famous line GIJOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO the Star Brigade or Space Command, with classic characters like Duke, Hawk, Sci Fi or Roadblock.
By other side, because there was a human enemy: COBRA, Hasbro introduced a new enemy from outer space, they called them: Lunartix Empire.
A huge line was planned, but, unfortunately, the line had no success in the USA and was discontinued in the GIJoe fall of 1995.
In 2001 KAY BEE Stores in acordance to Hasbro offered a Limited Series with these figures, but finally was also cancelled at the last minute and only a few dozen figures carded, loose-complete and factory test shots were distributed for sorrow of GIJoe collectors.
Still having the possibility that Hasbro rethink the idea in the future and will offer them like a 9 pack set or a new relaunch of the sub series.
We don't forgot that Palitoy UK had its own alien beings (or a laboratory DNA experiment) in its series ACTION FORCE.

Wow - have never seen those GI Joe's before. What an awesome set of figures.
ResponderEliminarYes. They were part of the new GIJoe alien line called "Manimals" but they weren't a success, unfortunately and the line was discontinued.
EliminarThanks!
